Today I went to Anna’s taqueria and watched the owner yell at one of his employees in front of the staff and customers. This made me very, very upset, and I asked to speak with him. I told him that I thought his behavior was unacceptable and inappropriate, and that it is never okay to treat your employees that way, and especially to do it in front of other people, including customers. I am proud of myself for having the nerve to express my thoughts to him, but it was very scary for me to do. I was shaking when I did it. He tried to make all sorts of excuses and started to tell me all the things that his employees did to deserve this treatment. I said I thought it was inexcusable and that he had lost my business.
