so sad. the prof who i wanted to ask to advise me on my publishable and be on my dissertation committee, and work on her research is leaving BC, and moving to Chicago! sucky, sucky, sucky. this semester is off to a difficult start. i feel like i am an unhappy camper. can’t quite seem to gather my motivation, and am disliking one of my profs and his class.

I am so disappointed/angry with fellow massholes for voting in Brown. I am also frustrated that Coakley did not do a better job in campaigning, and took the election for granted. big mistake. also, many people here voted for Brown as a statement against state level issues (such as frustration with Patrick). These people are idiots.
new years resolution
I just made a new year’s resolution…a couple weeks after the fact, but I think it will be a good one. I am committing to listening to more music, especially new (to me) music. I don’t listen to enough music lately. 1st success= Vampire Weekend. I just got their new CD. I heard their song, Horchata, on WERS and liked it…so far I am liking the rest too.
on the way home, someone told me that the world would be a better place if there were more mother’s like me. i told him that i was the aunt, and probably why i had so much energy…he then said the more love the better :)
big adventure today, and some random school news
Today I am taking Ella downtown to the children’s museum…just me and Ella. I am excited but also a little nervous because I have not tried to take a two and a half year old on the subway, downtown, to a museum, to lunch with Benny, and then home before her nap. Today I went to try to go to bodypump, but the teacher was gone and in place we had a small group training session. We lifted heavy weights—about twice as much as I would usually pick and did suicides sprints where you run back and forth and tag cones. I am going to be sore tomorrow!
